  1. Using the Compucom Speedmodem with RBBS-PC Bulletin Board Software:

  3. This is by no means a technical document on all the different ways to
  4. initialize your CompuCom Speedmodem for RBBS-PC, but a SIMPLE guide...
  5.  
  6. oo ..Be sure the Speedmodem ROM version is at least 2.51. Type ATI3...
  7. \/ ..from any communications program in TERMINAL mode for results...
  8.    ..EXAMPLE: (c) Copyright CompuCom 1990 V2.51

  10. oo ..RBBS-PC is only capable of utilizing com-port 1 through 2 
  11. \/ ..because of limitations within basic. This can be overcome with 
  12.   ...the use of a fossil driver as described in the RBBS 
  13.   ...documentation. Check your com port, the factory setting is 
  14.   ...usually 4, so have fun with the jumpers!

  16. oo ..Com 3 or 4 REQUIRES a FOSSIL. Setup your com-port correctly...
  17. \/ ..Refer to your Remote Access documentation, X00.SYS example below.
